Check out "Sheep Bitch"

There is a new Tall Tails, Damn Lies posting on the fiction sister blog to Borderlands Traverse. I have been promising this story for quite awhile now so I'm understandably cheery about finally getting it written, rewritten and posted. Please take a look and see what you think. BORDERLANDS TRAVERSE?

The Borderlands Traverse is an experimental project that records information and narratives about the traverse of the actual borders of Utah, the center-most state in the West. Stories and photos about borderlands people and issues are collected here for possible future expansion and publication. The Borderlands Project is a "Deep Mapping" report, a term suggested by author William Least Heat-Moon's deep mapping of Chase County, Kansas, in his book, "PrairyErth."

NOT A DAILY BLOG

I can't post daily to Borderlands Traverse. It's not as spontaneous as a blog is generally supposed to be. Many will say that it ain't really a blog then, and that's true. It's much closer to an original WebLog than it is a blog. It is a way for me to put some material out and also record it for later use. It is a kind of notebook for me to check out later. If you want to comment on any stuff, fine. If not, that's ok, too. I just wanted to tell you what this is (and its two sister sites) so you'll know I know.

Passy Cassini & Associates

Borderlands Traverse is being developed by Passy Cassini & Associates, a company formed by bt+editor Kris Passey (different spelling) in April of 2008 to do geographic research of all kinds. The company is licensed and registered with the State of Washington. The project is its first effort. Passey is currently the owner and sole employee.
...The company takes its name from Frederic Passy (1822-1912), a French economist and co-winner of the first Nobel Peace Prize, awarded for his life-long devotion to peaceful arbitration and his role in founding the Ligue Internationale de la Paix and the International Parliamentary Union. The difference in the surname spelling, Passy/Passey, derives from different branches of ancestors who are only distantly related.
...Cassini, the other name in the company masthead, comes from a family of astronomers and cartographers who, over the span of four generations and some 80 years, mapped what is now known as France.
...The work of Passy and the Cassinis parallel the ideals of this company, and therefore seemed an appropriate choice for its name.
